About the Gay Rooms Differently

Gay Rooms DIFFERENTLY are situated close to the József Körút Boulevard in VIII district of Pest side of the city. It is centrally located in a downtown area with plenty of gay and gay friendly bars and clubs.

It is fully gay operated and opened throughout the year. Our agency will provide you with the answers to all your questions and inquiries concerning general and gay related issues in Budapest. We are always reachable by mobile phone for the assistance. The staff is fluent in English, Serbian and Hungarian. They also posses speaking knowledge of German, Italian, Slovenian, Slovakian and Russian.
The apartment is placed on 9th floor in a modern building from the early Communist 70'. Apartment is very bright, sunny and with panoramic view over Budapest. It has 2 elevators and interphone system on the front door. The apartment is 50 sqm in size with 2 rooms, small kitchen, hall and a bathroom. Small room has 7 sqm and it can accommodate up to 2 persons. It has one single bed and another single bed can be added. It is equipped with radio and CD player. The big room has 27 sqm and it can host up to 4 persons. The bigger room has 1 doubled, 1 single bed and 1 bed can be added, TV with local programs, DVD and video player. All guest can use PC desk with 24 hours internet access.
Kitchen is equipped with fridge, electric stove, coffee maker, water cooker, toaster, and self catering. Bathroom has bathing tub with shower and sink. There is central heating and unlimited hot water supply. Apartment has ironing facilities and wash machine which are free of charge. Close to a supermarket.
Towels, blankets and sheets are provided. The set of keys are available for every guest by request. Intercom system is in front of the entrance door of the building.At check-in you can obtain information where to buy tickets for public transportation. Free printed city and gay maps, and other tourist brochures are available upon your arrival.

Directions

The apartment is centrally located. From Deák Ferenc square you can take bus # 9 to the Horváth Mihály tér bus stop. From the Kalvin square you can easily take bus # 83 to the Horváth Mihály tér bus stop. Also you can use trams # 4 or # 6 to the Baross utca tram station, or blue metro line (Metro 2) to the Ferenc körút metro stop. During the late night you can use night bus # 906 to the Baross utca. You can also locate apartment on the Map of Budapest with the marked locations together with the Subway map.

Distance from gay places

From Magnum gay sauna we are 8 minutes by walk. Action and Coxx gay bars are only 2 tram stations away from the apartment.

Airport

Our agency has long cooperation with distinguished and reliable partner - Budapest taxi Company which can bring you to the desired apartment for discount prices. Not to mention that you can save you time and money with them. We could warmly recommend you to take their service because of the security reasons. In case you leave/forgot something in a cab or have other problems, we know in any time who is the cab driver and the number of his vehicle. Please be aware that we do not guaranty the standard price in case you select other taxi company and they overcharged your fare.
If you decide to use Budapest taxi service call please your travel agent (Nenad) and the taxi will be ordered for you in a few minutes. You can request the taxi in advance through your emails but also upon your arrival, in a text message to Nenad. You can also call Nenad on his mobile phone +36306852643 or if you call from Hungary 06306852643, send him please the name of terminals (Terminal 1 or Terminal 2A or 2B). Once Nenad is notified about your taxi request, please go to the information desk at the arrivals section of the airport and wait for your taxi driver. The driver will come in 5-15 minutes with your name written on the paper board.
Please note that the price is fixed! From the airport Budapest taxi will charge you 6000 HUF or 26 euros with maximum of 20 minutes for waiting. Please wait on the information desk, and don’t go from there, because if the taxi driver is waiting for you more then 20 minutes you will be extra charged. The price from the apartment to the airport is 5000 HUF or 22 euros. These prices are valid from 10th October 2008. This is a special discount for our costumers!

If you don't want to use our partner taxi service you can select between other taxi companies, airport's Minibus or public transportation. If you prefer public transportation, please take bus # 200 from the last stop to the metro terminal. From there you can use blue metro line to the city center.

Train Stations

If you arrive to Budapest by train to one of 3 major train stations and want to use Budapest taxi services please call us or text message us immediately upon your arrival in Budapest, (from Hungary 06306852643 or from aboard +36306852643), and we will order taxi for you for discount price for our costumers.
If you don't want to use the taxi, please relay on public transportation. There are 3 different train stations in Budapest: Keleti (East), Nyugati (West) and Deli (South).
If you arrive at Nyugati station take trams # 4 or # 6 into the direction of Oktogon and Baross utca tram stop. Get off at Baross utca tram stop and walk for a 10 minutes through the Baross street. You can also take buses # 9 or # 83 from Baross street stop and get off on the next bus stop - Horváth Mihály tér.
If you arrive at Keleti or Deli train stations take the red metro line to the Deák Square metro stop. Get out from the metro and find the # 9 bus stop. Get off on the 5th stop called - Horváth Mihály tér.

Parking

Usually there is no problem to find free parking space on the street in front of the building. There are no parking fees in this area. You can park easily in the Szigony street in a public garage. The fee is 1000 HUF (approximately 4 euros), per day, or 4500 HUF (approximately 18 euros) for a week. Reservations are not needed.

Change Rates & Payment

Please note that you need to make the reservation of your gay accommodation well in advance. Check-in is only by agreement made through the email or phone communication. No credit cards are acceptable. You are requested to pay in cash immediately upon your arrival into the apartment! Please prepare the payment in EUR as we accept Hungarian Forints also. If you pay in Hungarian Forints, we charge you according to the exchange rates that are published on the day of your arrival from this web site: http://www.xe.com/ucc/. There are a lot of ATM machines where you can obtain Hungarian Forints using major credit/debit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, and Maestro etc.

We will send a written confirmation of your booking request as soon as possible, but definitively within 24 hours. Please wait for our reply and do not request reservations elsewhere so that we avoid double reservations at two or more different agencies. If your desired apartment has been already booked or occupied by somebody else, we will provide you with the information when it will be free and offer you a substitute apartment within the same price category.
